Mariado Martínez Pérez

Mariado Martínez Pérez is a bilingual arts and culture journalist with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations since 2020. Currently, Mariado operates as a freelance journalist while holding positions as a social media assistant at W42ST.nyc, a researcher/writer and oral history reporter at Queens Public Library, and a freelance translator/reporter for WNYC Radio. Previous experiences include a curatorial internship at Chelsea Walls, an arts journalism residency at Momus, an artist engagement intern at More Art, and a research and fact-checking fellowship at Condé Nast. As a co-founder and managing editor of DÉPARTEMENT VII, Mariado was involved in strategic project management and content creation. Mariado holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and various degrees in language studies and fashion business from prestigious institutions.
