Xavier Cerda has over 15 years of experience in procurement and contract management across various organizations. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Procurement at Queens Library since June 2017, responsibilities include managing bids, RFQs, and RFPs for diverse goods and services, while tracking procurement milestones and ensuring accurate inventory records through the SAP system. Previously, as the Director of IT Procurement at the NYC Department of Education, Xavier directed a team responsible for projects valued at approximately $500M annually, focusing on IT services and software. Earlier roles included Contract Manager/Procurement Analyst for school-based procurement at the NYC Department of Education and a Logistics Brand Expert at Gap Inc. Xavier holds a B.B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Economics from Lehman College.
