Queens Community House
Emily M. Castro currently serves as the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Queens Community House, a position held since December 2023. Previously, Emily was the Manager of Nonprofit Engagement at Catchafire and facilitated the BIPOC Leadership Group. Other roles include Manager of Career and Student Programs at Montefiore Health System, Organizational Development Consultant, and Vocational Facilitator for YouthBuild at Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation. Emily's earlier experiences include positions with FvckUp Nights Global, 7 Elements, and the Peace Corps, where significant contributions were made in community development and education. Emily earned a Master of Science in Organizational Change Management from The New School and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Latin American & Caribbean Area Studies from Binghamton University.

QCH serves more than 25,000 children, youth, adults, and older adults every year. Our mission is to provide individuals and families with the tools to enrich their lives and build healthy, inclusive communities. Through a broad network of programs operating out of 40 sites in 15 neighborhoods, we offer Queens residents a needed support system at every stage of life, helping them to develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills to change their lives for the better and become active participants in their larger community.
