Queens Community House
Joelle Tirado, LMSW, serves as the Director of Family Support Services at Queens Community House, a position held since May 2021, where oversight of Family Support Coordinators and case management for families in the community is key to enhancing household stability. Previous roles include Family Support Coordinator and Family Wellness Coordinator, along with a legal internship at The Legal Aid Society focusing on forensic assessments and service recommendations. Joelle's extensive experience is rooted in various social work roles, including counseling services and program management, coupled with leadership positions in academic settings such as Psi Chi and the Hunter College Psychology Club. Joelle holds a Master of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work and dual Bachelor’s degrees from Hunter College and Macaulay Honors College.

QCH serves more than 25,000 children, youth, adults, and older adults every year. Through a broad network of programs operating out of 40 sites in 15 neighborhoods, we offer Queens residents a needed support system at every stage of life, helping them to develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills to change their lives for the better and become active participants in their larger community.
