Matt Birchard

Matt Birchard is a Mechanical Director at Queen's Hyperloop, where they oversee the design team and manage operations while adapting to post-COVID challenges. They previously served as a Mechanical Engineering Coop at Teck Resources Limited, successfully completing projects that involved structural designs and coordination with contractors. Matt also gained hands-on experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at EMS-Tech Inc., where they developed prototypes and managed communications for manufacturing. They hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University, where they engaged in various roles within the Hyperloop design team.
