Rafael Costa

T&B Electrical Manager

Rafael Costa is a dedicated Electrical and Electronics Engineering student at Queen's University, projected to graduate in 2027. With experience at QMIND as an AI Ethics Design Team Member, Rafael focused on AI ethics and copyright law, conducting research on generative AI's effects on the music industry and co-authoring a significant paper published in the field. Additional roles include Engineering Mental Health Steward, where Rafael promotes wellness initiatives, and Teaching Assistant for programming courses, assisting first-year students. Rafael has also contributed to research on stratospheric radio telescopes, electrical system design for a hyperloop project, and vaccine development at Ceva Santé Animale. Current involvement includes leading electrical systems design for the Queen's Hyperloop Design Team, emphasizing innovative engineering solutions.
