Oliver Hummel is a dedicated freelance teaching artist with extensive experience in art education and community engagement. Since 2015, Oliver has served as a freelance teaching artist, facilitating classes for the NYC Department of Aging's NORC program at Queens Community House, where engaging art activities are complemented by historical context. Roles at the Queens Museum involve conducting teleconferences with home-bound seniors on various topics related to museum exhibitions. Oliver also offers support at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center's Living Museum, encouraging artistic expression among patients. Additionally, prior experience includes serving as an arts and crafts facilitator for the Positive Health Project and holding various positions in venue and visitor services management at organizations such as Premier Exhibitions and the Smithsonian Institution. Oliver holds a BS in Creative Arts and Health from The New School and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology.
