Punya Gowri Umesh is currently involved in multiple roles within the health and academic sectors. As the I-EDIAA Racialized Committee Chair at Queen's University Health Sciences Society and Vice President of the Universities Allied for Essential Medicines - Queen's University Chapter, Punya demonstrates leadership and commitment to health advocacy. Additionally, Punya serves as a Marketing Analyst at Youreka Canada, a Logistics Coordinator at NeuGeneration, and a Marketing Coordinator for Queen's Healthcare and Sciences Research Workshops. Punya's research experience includes volunteering at the University of Waterloo's Medicinal and Bioorganic Chemistry Lab and interning at Hamilton Health Sciences and Kingston Health Sciences Centre under Dr. Kerstin de Wit. Punya is pursuing a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Queen's University, following a high school diploma from Laurel Heights Secondary School.
