Shoshannah Bennett-Dwara

BS (Hons) ’21. Biology Major. Shoshannah serves as Vice-President of Queen’s Student Diversity Project (2020-2021) where she works closely with marginalized communities and the greater student body to promote diversity, equity and acceptance at Queen’s. She has also served on the University Council of Athletics and Recreation (2019-2020), Community of Support for Black Physicians Volunteer (2018-2019), Sponsorship Coordinator on Queen’s Black Premedical Association and Canadian Undergraduate Conference on Health (2018-2020) and as Secretary on the Biology Departmental Student Council. Shoshannah also actively works as a research assistant in the Department of Ophthalmology. In her position as Undergraduate Trustee, she has an overarching goal to express, validate and ensure that the perspectives and ideas of marginalized groups are readily discussed and actively pursued to promote diversity, inclusion and equity on the Queen’s campus; to cultivate courageous change. Elected by the Undergraduate Students - current term to 2021.
