Francis Cabana Jr.

Fran Cabana is a retired physical education teacher. He taught PE for 33 years, three at St. Mary’s in Hoosick Falls and 30 at Queensbury Elementary. He coached basketball, football and track. He was also the vice president of the QFA for 10 years. He retired in 2009. He received his bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Springfield College and his master’s of sports science from Castleton College in VT. He joined the Queensbury Board of Education in July 2020.

Fran has been the manager of Pirates’ Cove Adventure Golf in Queensbury and Lake George since 1997. He also serves on the Town of Queensbury Recreation Committee. He is a member of Our Lady of the Annunciation and is often a lector and eucharistic minister. He also serves communion to the residents of the Warren Center on the first Friday of each month.
