Sam Neill

Chief Endorser at Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA)

Sam Neill has over 10 years of work experience in various roles within the education sector. Beginning in 2013, they worked for the Queensland Department of Education as a General Teacher before being promoted to Head of Department for The Arts. Sam also worked as a General Teacher for a brief period. In 2017, Sam joined Drama Queensland as a Committee Member and later became Vice President in charge of Planning & Finance. Sam also served as Vice President of Communications. In 2020, they joined the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA) as a Principal Education Officer for The Arts and held various roles such as Lead Endorser, Lead Confirmer, and EA Lead Marker. Sam is currently the Chief Endorser for QCAA. Additionally, Sam Neill has served as an Academic Tutor at CQUniversity and a member of the Executive Board for Playlab Theatre.

Sam Neill completed a Graduate Diploma of Education in Drama and English at Griffith University in 2012. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Theatre & Creative Writing from the same university. Sam Neill also attended Palm Beach - Currumbin State High School from 2004 to 2008, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for that period.
