Mary-Jane Phillips

Mary-Jane Phillips is an accomplished professional specializing in information security, governance, risk, and compliance, with a career spanning multiple industries. Currently serving in the Queensland Government since June 2023, Mary-Jane has systematically improved cybersecurity resilience and uplifted the Information Security Management System to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. Prior experience includes a role as a Cyber Security Analyst at Bank of Queensland, where Mary-Jane launched a suspicious email reporting system and coordinated cyber security awareness initiatives. As a Cyber Security Project Manager at WithYouWithMe, Mary-Jane supported military veterans and students entering cybersecurity careers and led the Australian Women in Security Network Brisbane chapter. Earlier roles as an Environmental Consultant and Officer included maintaining ISO14001 certified systems at TAE Aerospace and Amcor. Mary-Jane holds a Micromasters in Cybersecurity from the Rochester Institute of Technology, an MBA in Technology Management from Deakin University, and a Bachelor of Science from The University of Queensland.
