Liam Drake

Liam Drake is an experienced engineering professional specializing in control systems, with a robust background in SCADA infrastructure and project management across multiple industries, including utilities and mining. Currently serving as the SCADA Infrastructure Design Manager at Urban Utilities since February 2021, Liam leads a multidisciplinary team in upgrading water and wastewater SCADA systems. Previously, as the Lead Control Systems Engineer at Queensland Urban Utilities and Lend Lease, Liam managed control system projects, stakeholder engagement, and contractor management, while also guiding engineering teams to develop efficient solutions. Liam co-founded Aktura Technology, where responsibilities included business management and software development. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Queensland, Liam combines technical expertise with leadership and innovative thinking to drive successful project outcomes.
