Ilay Y.

Ilay Y. began their work experience in 2016 as a Translator at Amara Subtitling, where they worked until December 2017. In May 2016, they also started working as a Translator at TED Conferences, and they continued in this role until 2021. In 2018, Ilay Y. joined Bilkent University as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, and they stayed until 2021. Currently, Ilay Y. is working as a UX Researcher at Quentic, starting in January 2022.

Ilay Y. has a diverse education background. They completed their Master of Arts in Sociology at the Freie Universität Berlin in 2023. Prior to that, they obtained another Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Bilkent University in 2021. Before pursuing their master's degrees, Ilay earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Public Administration from Hacettepe University in 2017. During their time at Hacettepe University, they also participated in an exchange program at Sciences Po Lille, focusing on Political Studies in 2015. Before entering university, Ilay attended Bornova Anadolu Lisesi (İzmir Koleji) for their high school education, with a focus on Maths and Science.

In addition to their formal education, Ilay Y. has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. They completed courses such as "Design Thinking: Understanding the Process," "Software Project Management Foundations," "UX Foundations: Usability Testing," "UX Research for Agile Teams," "User Experience for Web Design," and "UX Foundations: Research" on LinkedIn. They also completed the "Basic HTML and HTML5" course on freeCodeCamp. Additionally, Ilay acquired proficiency in Google Analytics and received certifications in "Project Management Foundations" and "The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" from Google.
