John Long

John Long has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2013 as an Assistant IT Technician Intern at Caltrans. John then worked as an IT Helpdesk Technician Intern at Caltrans in 2015. In 2017, they were a Lab Operations Intern at Intel Corporation, followed by a Software Engineering Intern position in 2018. In 2019, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern at General Dynamics Mission Systems and a Workshop Director & Quantum Software Engineer at Quantum Computing at Davis. In 2020, they were a TITANS Software Engineering R&D Intern at Sandia National Laboratories. In 2021, they were a Quantum Software Engineer and Quantum Software Engineering Intern at If and Only If (Iff) Technologies. In 2022, they became a Scientific Software Developer at QuEra Computing Inc.

John Long's education history includes attending Laguna Creek High School from 2014 to 2018 and the University of California, Davis from 2018 to 2022, where they are pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Additionally, John has obtained certifications from IBM for the IBM Quantum Challenge Fall 2021 Achievement and the IBM Quantum Challenge Africa 2021 Achievement, as well as from edX for DAT208x: Introduction to Python for Data Science.
