Minho Kwon

Senior Quantum Engineer at QuEra Computing

Minho Kwon has a long and varied work experience. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Drill Sergeant for the Korea Army Training Center. From 2010 to 2012, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at Yonsei University, where they performed independent study for their undergraduate thesis on quantum error correcting codes. In 2012, they were a Research Intern at the University of Michigan, where they participated in a research project to make a spectrometer sorting photons by their orbital angular momentum states. Minho was also a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where their research theme was about quantum information science. In 2020, they became a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University in the City of New York. Most recently, they are a Senior Quantum Engineer at QuEra Computing Inc., which they started in 2022.

Minho Kwon obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Physics (Double majored) from Yonsei University between 2005 and 2011. Minho then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 2012 and 2019.
