Damien Van Der Bijl

Damien joins Capricorn Partners with over 15 years of experience in open innovation and venture capital investments. He was involved from the start in InnovationQuarter, the regional economic development company for “Zuid Holland” in the Netherlands, where he was Senior Investment Manager and team leader for Cleantech, Agri & Food and Biotech in the IQ Capital fund. Damien is involved in the Cleantech team, focusing on biotech solutions for a zero carbon and circular economy. He enjoys working with founders, developing insights on business model validation, business strategy, team composition and scaling up.

Damien holds a degree in political science, and an MBA at the Amsterdam Business School of the University of Amsterdam, as well as additional training at the Dutch Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital (NVP), and the ScaleUp Board Program at ScaleUpNation.
