Gowrishankar Sundaram

Gowrishankar Sundaram is an experienced engineering professional specializing in control and protection systems within the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as Lead - RTDS Lab Engineer at GE Vernova since May 2024, Gowrishankar focuses on the integration of control and protection systems with real-time digital simulations. From April 2023 to April 2024, Gowrishankar worked as Project Lead - HVDC C&P Hardware at Quest Global Engineering Services GmbH, managing the Siemens Energy account for the 1036MW Sunrise Wind offshore HVDC project. Prior experience includes a role at GE Renewable Energy from May 2015 to March 2023, where Gowrishankar led the engineering solution team for the MS3000 M&D grid automation product and implemented hardware solutions for HVDC and FACTS projects. Beginnings in the field were with T&C Engineers Private Ltd as a Testing and Commissioning Engineer from October 2011 to April 2015, conducting tests and commissioning for various voltage systems. Gowrishankar holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Vidyaa Vikas College of Engineering and Technology, obtained in 2011.
