Gerry Spitzer

Gerry Spitzer has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Gerry started their career as a CPA auditor at Coopers and Lybrand in 1985 and later moved on to GA Computer Products as a manager in 1988. In 1992, they joined Merrill Lynch as a Senior VP in Investments and stayed there until 2012. During this time, they gained expertise in personal financial planning, asset management, taxes, estate planning, insurance, lending, and philanthropy.

In 2012, Gerry joined UBS as a Senior Vice President, CPWA®, CEPA®, where they led a team in assisting clients, including privately held business owners and senior executives, in managing their equity positions and provided comprehensive financial planning services. Gerry held this position for ten years until 2022.

Gerry then became a Founding Partner at Questar Capital Partners in 2022. Here, they continued their work in providing financial planning services and advising clients on various aspects of their personal finances, including asset management, taxation, estate planning, insurance, lending, and philanthropy.

In 2023, Gerry also became an Official Member of the Forbes Finance Council, further showcasing their expertise and involvement in the finance and investment industry.

Gerry Spitzer, CPWA®, CEPA®, has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Binghamton University School of Management. Gerry also completed the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) program at The University of Chicago - Booth School of Business through executive education. In addition, they attended Utica Free Academy. Gerry Spitzer has obtained various certifications, including the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) from the Exit Planning Institute and the Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA) from the Investment Management Consultants Association. Gerry is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Gerry Spitzer is registered in multiple states under the FINRA institution.
