Kimberly Esse has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Kimberly started their career at U-Haul International, Inc. as a Treasury Special Projects Coordinator, where they developed a share repurchase program to improve company costs and enhance shareholder satisfaction. Kimberly provided personalized service to shareholders and collaborated with a corporate partner bank for program facilitation.
Afterward, Kimberly joined the University of Nevada Reno as a Research Assistant/Teaching Assistant. In this role, they worked closely with faculty and professors to develop assignments and projects for a humanities course. Kimberly also facilitated sections of the course, focusing on critical thinking, reasoning, and argument-based writing.
Kimberly then transitioned to an extensive career at Oracle, where they held various roles in Treasury and Stock Services Integration. As the Director of Treasury & Stock Services Integration, they led over 65 acquisitions and 90 divestiture deals, managing a team of analysts and overseeing banking and legal document review for 200+ entities. Kimberly also served as the Manager of Cash Management & Acquisition Integration, handling cash management, wire desk oversight, and coordinating bank relationships for M&A activities. Additionally, they were responsible for strategy development and reporting as the GPO Treasury Acquisition Integration lead. In earlier positions at Oracle, they gained experience in cash forecasting, wire initiation, cash settlement, and GL accounting for domestic and international transactions.
Kimberly's next career move took their to The Women's Financial Wellness Center, where they worked as a Divorce Financial Professional. In this role, they managed client relationships, developed strategic partnerships, and project-managed the finance aspect of divorce cases, from start to finish.
Currently, Kimberly is employed at Questis as a Financial Coach. Kimberly'sresponsibilities include assisting with program development and delivery, behavior change coaching, and encouraging financial empowerment and mindfulness in clients.
In 2023, they joined Bolder Money as a Money Coach, dedicated to helping clients navigate money and finances in an accessible and doable manner and normalizing money conversations.
Kimberly is also pursuing a Master of Social Work degree.
Kimberly Esse has a diverse education history, focusing on different fields of study. Kimberly pursued their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics from the University of Nevada, Reno, graduating in 2008. Following this, from 2009 to 2011, they earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in American History (United States) from the same university.
Kimberly'sacademic journey continued, and in 2022, Kimberly began pursuing their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a specialization in Advanced Generalist Practice at the University of Nevada, Reno. Kimberly is expected to complete their MSW degree in 2024.
Alongside their academic achievements, Kimberly has obtained several certifications. In 2014, they obtained the Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification from the Association for Financial Professionals. Kimberly also earned the AFC® certification from the AFCPE® (Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education®) in January 2023. Additionally, they obtained the Mental Health First Aid certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing in July 2023.
