Bryce Zimmer has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Network Engineer at Quest Technology Management since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Trace Systems from 2015 to 2022, serving as an IP - Networking Technician. In this role, they provided subject matter expertise for an IP-based SATCOM network and performed various networking tasks such as configurations, system monitoring, customer problem tracking, and network problem resolution. Bryce also had experience in configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, EtherChannels, routing protocols, IPSEC tunnels, multicast video traffic, and Cisco SBCs.
Before Trace Systems, Bryce worked at 1st Space Battalion (US Army) from 2010 to 2015. Bryce held the position of Information Systems Operator and was responsible for fielding new SATCOM equipment, performing setup and maintenance for ground-based satellite systems, and collaborating with the Network Operations Center and commercial satellite providers. Additionally, they deployed radio communication systems and antennas, served as a network and server administrator, and worked extensively with VMware Virtualization and Microsoft Hyper-V services. Bryce also managed various Windows Server services and implemented updates, patches, and backups on servers and user devices.
Bryce Zimmer completed their Bachelor's degree in Network Operations and Security from Western Governors University from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they attended Theodore Roosevelt High School from 2005 to 2009, where they obtained their high school diploma. Additionally, Bryce Zimmer has obtained several certifications including Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) from Cisco in April 2019, and CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in April 2021.
