Sonia Gowan

Sonia Gowan is an experienced marketing professional with a strong background in commercial sales and marketing across the Asia Pacific region. Currently serving as the Asia Pacific Marketing Manager at QuidelOrtho since January 2023, Sonia's role has expanded to include Point of Care Molecular Diagnostics following the acquisition of Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. As Managing Director of Te Rautaki Business Consulting, Sonia leverages over 20 years of expertise to provide strategic management guidance. Previous notable positions include Asia Pacific Regional Marketing Manager at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics and Director of Marketing for Asia Pacific & Japan at Illumina, where Sonia developed high-performing marketing organizations and strategic plans that improved customer engagement and business growth. Sonia holds an MBA from Macquarie Business School and postgraduate and undergraduate degrees in Public Health and Microbiology from the University of Otago.
