Annalisa Zinn

Annalisa Zinn came to Quinnipiac in 2006. Since that time, she has taught courses in the College of Arts and Sciences, served as an assistant dean for career services and later an associate dean of social sciences; worked as an associate vice president for academic and strategic planning and currently is vice president for academic innovation and effectiveness.

In her current role, she is responsible for a range of academic and operational matters, including the leadership and oversight of the following offices and programs: academic assessment and research; library; registrar; Center for Teaching and Learning; Center for Research and Scholarship; learning commons; military and veteran affairs; Albert Schweitzer Institute; honors program; academic integrity; pre-health advising; and pre-law advising. She also serves as the accreditation liaison officer with the New England Commission of Higher Education and the Connecticut Office of Higher Education.

Zinn earned a PhD in political science and a bachelor’s degree in ethics, politics and economics from Yale University. She also earned an MBA from Quinnipiac. Her areas of teaching and scholarship include international human rights, ethics of war and peace, political violence, public policy and international relations.
