Judy D. Olian

President at Quinnipiac University

President Olian is widely recognized as an innovative leader in higher education. She became Quinnipiac University’s 9th president in July 2018.

Prior to joining Quinnipiac, she served as dean of UCLA Anderson School of Management and John E. Anderson Chair in Management for 12 years. Her tenure at UCLA was highlighted by bold achievements. Under her leadership, more than 60% of Anderson’s faculty were hired, she expanded the school’s prestigious Board of Visitors, directed the launch of four research centers, and led fundraising efforts that generated over $450 million for student and faculty support, innovative programming, and capital improvements. Before serving at UCLA Anderson, she was dean and professor of management at the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University. Before that, Olian served as a professor and senior associate dean at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Olian has a bachelor's degree in psychology from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem, and MSc and PhD degrees in industrial relations from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
