Nadine Barnett Cosby

Nadine Barnett Cosby, Ph.D., currently serves as the Dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University, a position held since June 2024. Previously, Nadine held various roles at Iona University from August 2013 to June 2024, including Associate Vice Provost, Assistant Provost & Associate Vice President for Faculty Development, and Associate Professor of Media & Strategic Communication. Nadine is a co-founder of the Black Studies Program and has extensive teaching experience in screenwriting, editing, filmmaking, digital video, and TV production. Early career positions include faculty roles at The Picture House and Iona College, along with impactful roles in operations and traffic management at major television networks and broadcasting companies. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Communication Studies from Regent University, multiple master's degrees, a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, and a recent certificate in management development for higher education leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
