shihkai ni

Antenna Engineer at Quintel Technology

Shihkai Ni has been in the engineering profession since 2001. shihkai started their career at SmartAnt Telecom Co., Ltd. as a RD engineer where they designed and developed small built-in antennas such as Cellular/ WiFi antennas, as well as large antennas such as WiMAX/ Cellular base station antennas to meet ETSI regulations. In 2006, they moved to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd. as a Senior Product Engineer, helping customers to smoothly transfer their design to foundry via Design Rule Check (DRC) and Electrical Rule check (ERC) by EDA tools. In 2008, they began their PhD studies at the University of Rochester, working on a silicon laser project. shihkai used sputter system to deposited Si/SiO2 multilayer, and RTP/FA to grow nano-crystalline Si, as well as following semiconductor processes such as litho, etch, implant, and evaporating Ti to form p-I-n device for electroluminescence. In 2013, they joined IBM as a Developing characterization engineer, where they performed data analysis of key inline measurements (physical and electrical) to drive yield improvement and diagnose process shifts, evaluate process/product improvements. Finally, in 2014, they became an Antenna Engineer at Quintel.

Shihkai Ni earned their PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester in 2013. shihkai then earned their MS in Electrical Engineering (Photonics) from National Tsing Hua University in 2001. Lastly, they earned their BS in Mechanical Engineering from National Tsing Hua University in 1999.
