Lou Van Beirendonck is a prominent figure in the field of human resource management and organizational development. As the Founder-Director of Quintessence since September 1988 and the Founder of dONUS since October 2015, Van Beirendonck has made significant contributions to both academic and practical aspects of HRM. Currently serving as a Hoogleraar HRM and Academic Director of the Masterclass HRM at Antwerp Management School, along with a role as an Executive Professor in HRM, Van Beirendonck also shares expertise as a guest lecturer at Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School. Leadership roles include serving as a bestuurder at Vzw Sint Annendael Grauwzusters and previously at Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen. Van Beirendonck's educational background includes a doctorate in psychology from Tilburg University, an Executive Master in Business Administration from Antwerp Management School, and a Master's in Psychology from KU Leuven, complemented by a certificate in Appreciative Inquiry from Weatherhead School of Management.
