Austin Oie

Austin Oie has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Austin started their career in 2006 as a Patient Service Representative at Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, where they dealt with a high volume orthopaedics clinic in downtown Chicago. Austin demonstrated strong organizational and empathy skills in this role. In 2007, they ventured into entrepreneurship and started their own photography business, Austin D. Oie Photography. As the owner, they managed all aspects of the business. In 2013, they joined Shirley Ryan AbilityLab as a Patient Service Representative, where they dealt with a high volume of patients and focused on organization, execution, and hospitality. In 2020, they pursued further education as a student at Flatiron School. Austin transitioned into the software engineering field and worked as a Software Engineer at Chicago Artist Guide in 2020 and QuintEvents in 2021. Their roles in software engineering have not yet concluded, indicating their current employment. Overall, Austin Oie has shown adaptability and a strong work ethic throughout their career.
