Carlos A Carreno has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Carlos A began their career as an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company, where they analyzed and advised on strategic alternatives in industries such as consumer goods, financial services, and technology. Carlos A also performed feasibility analyses and developed channel strategies, contributing to significant savings and business opportunities.
After their time at Bain & Company, Carlos worked as a Senior Analyst at Mesoamerica Investments, where they honed their skills in financial analysis and strategic planning.
Following this, Carlos joined Univision Communications Inc. as an MBA Summer Intern, gaining valuable experience in the media industry.
Carlos then transitioned to the hospitality sector, working at Starwood Vacation Ownership and subsequently at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. In these roles, they took on leadership positions, overseeing product development, real estate acquisitions, and finance. Their contributions helped drive growth and expansion in both companies.
Moving on, Carlos joined ILG, Inc. as the VP of Corporate Development. In this role, they played a key role in managing complex M&A processes, advising the executive team, conducting due diligence, and executing and integrating multiple transactions. Their efforts resulted in a doubling of EBITDA and a significant increase in the associate base.
In 2019, Carlos took a sabbatical year to pursue their personal interests, dedicating their time to full-time travel and wildlife photography.
Most recently, Carlos joined Quirch Foods as part of the corporate development team, where they continue to bring their expertise in strategic planning and M&A to drive growth and success for the company.
Carlos A Carreno attended the Columbia Business School, where they pursued an MBA with a focus on Finance, General. Prior to this, they completed their undergraduate studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. During their time at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Carlos also participated in a year abroad program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they continued their studies in Industrial Engineering.
