Grace Alvarado

Grace Alvarado has extensive work experience in various positions within the food industry. Grace is currently working as a Senior Sales Account Executive at Quirch Foods, a role they started in February 2020. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Cargill, where they held multiple roles from 2009 to 2019. These roles included Raw Materials Procurement Leader, Merchant Senior Carnes, and Senior Merchant. Grace also worked at Cargill Proteina Latinoamerica as a Risk Management Meats Raw Materials specialist and as a Merchant Senior Meats at Cargilll Proteina Latinoamerica. Grace's earliest work experience in the industry was as a Comprador at Griffith Laboratories from 2004 to 2008.

Grace Alvarado's education history is as follows:

From 2007 to 2018, they attended Universidad Latina de Costa Rica and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Marketing.

In 2017, they briefly attended Iowa State University for the Sausage & Processed Meats Short Course, a professional-level program.

In 2016, they pursued specialized education in IT & Business Process, completing an Especializacion en Administracion de Proyectos (Specialization in Project Management) at an institution called IT & Business Process. Grace also obtained a certification in Advanced Excel from the Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje, focusing on Systems Operations.

In 2015, they received a certification in U.S. Meat, specifically Carnes Rojas de los Estados Unidos (Red Meats from the United States), through a seminar offered by U.S. Meat. Additionally, they attended Universidad Latina de Costa Rica and took a course in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma from the School of Industrial Engineering.

In 2012 and 2013, they participated in the Escuela de Liderazgo (School of Leadership) program offered by Cargill.

Grace also holds a Técnico en Comercio Internacional (Technician in International Trade) degree from Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica, obtained from 2005 to 2007. The program focused on Administration and Business Management.

Grace is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a concentration in Business Administration and Management at Universidad Nacional, starting in 2022.
