QLS examines and shares evidence on the social, cultural and regulatory factors driving this progress, focusing on reducing smoking prevalence, and supporting informed discussion and learning across different national contexts.

QLS is grounded in a people-centred approach to public health and tobacco control, recognising the significant impact that smoking has on individuals, families and communities.

When we examine Sweden’s experience, we find a path that has led to the lowest smoking prevalence in the world 5.3%, built on three core pillars: Accessibility, Acceptability and Affordability of safer nicotine products.

We’re working to build on this success globally by sharing science and evidence-based information on tobacco harm reduction through our website, social media channels and international events, bringing together public health experts, tobacco control specialists, policymakers and people with lived experience. 

This work actively informs public health discussion and policy thinking, supporting more effective regulation to reduce smoking-related disease and death.
