Shelley Rivers

Shelley Rivers is an experienced educator with a background in English, theatre, and performing arts. Currently a Teacher in English III, IV, and Theatre at Quitman School District since August 2019, Rivers previously held positions as Show Choir Director, Theatre Director, and ELA Teacher at Laurel Middle School, and as Director of Performing Arts at Nora Davis Magnet School. Notably, Rivers established the Laurel Schools Elementary speech and debate league and directed multiple musicals and the LMS show choir, INSYNC. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education with a focus on Teacher Leadership from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi.
