Andres Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Andres began their career as a Developer Leader at Visionee, where they were responsible for firmware, drivers, and application development for banking transaction automation. Andres then joined IBM as part of their Extreme Blue internship program, where they worked on creating an innovative product for Philips. Andres also worked at IMEC, where they implemented and benchmarked cryptography algorithms on a reconfigurable processor. Andres later joined Ericsson Telecommunicatie as a Certified Integration Engineer, focusing on the design and support of telecom network services. Following this, they worked as an Independent Technology Consultant, developing applications for handheld devices. Andres then joined Italtelec SpA as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Architect, where they led and participated in the development of embedded systems for digital television networks. Currently, they are working at Quixant, holding various positions such as Principal Software Engineer, Product Owner, and Head of Software DevOps. In their current role as Director of Software Development and Support, they oversee the software development lifecycle, architecture, programming, technical support, training, and sales. Andres Garcia has a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar, which they obtained between 1995 and 2001. Andres also holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in the same field from the same institution during the same period. Later, between 2005 and 2007, they pursued a MSc degree in Computer Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
