Rita Carmona

Rita Carmona is an experienced urban planner with a diverse background in planning and policy development. Currently serving as a Planner at Quod since July 2021, Rita has previously worked as a Freelance Urban Planner at Keystone Planning Ltd and Line Planning Ltd, where responsibilities included pre-planning advice, policy appraisals, and executing planning applications. From December 1999 to May 2017, Rita held the position of Urban and Regional Planner at the Municipality of Batalha, focusing on the development and monitoring of municipal local plans and Strategic Environmental Assessment procedures. Earlier in Rita's career, experience as a Research Assistant at Universidade de Aveiro contributed to work on various regional projects. Rita holds a Master’s degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Westminster, alongside two degrees from Universidade de Aveiro, including a Master’s in Spatial Planning and a Bachelor’s in Urban and Regional Planning.
