Emma Pope-Welch has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Emma started their career in 2008 as the Director of Communications and Marketing at United Way of Eastern Maine. Emma then worked as the Membership & Marketing Manager at Maine Island Trail Association from 2011 to 2013. Following this, they joined Lincoln Canoe and Kayak as a Marketing Manager from 2013 to 2016. Emma then transitioned to MEMIC, where they worked as a Communications Specialist from 2016 to 2018, and later as a Senior Communications Specialist from 2018 to 2021. Emma then founded their own business, Northeast Ramblers, as the Owner/Founder in 2019, which is a tourism and hospitality business in Portland, Maine. Currently, Emma is the Marketing Manager at QUODD since 2022, and is now serving as the Marketing Director.

Emma Pope-Welch completed a Springboard UX Design Career Track program in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Communication from the University of Maine, where they also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from 2002 to 2006. In terms of certifications, Emma obtained a Wilderness First Responder certification from NOLS Wilderness Medicine in May 2019.
