Vanessa Tan

Vanessa Tan has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Vanessa started their career as a Explore Intern at Microsoft in 2011. Vanessa then went on to work as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences for a few months in 2011. In 2012, they worked as a Research Assistant at the Shieber Lab and as a Computation Intern at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Vanessa returned to Harvard in the same year and worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Cox Lab. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Software Engineer at Quora, and later became an Engineering Manager at the same company until 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Product Engineering at Quora.

Vanessa Tan attended Harvard University from 2010 to 2014, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree with a focus on Computer Science.
