Zhengrong (Tom) Xing has a diverse work experience. Zhengrong (Tom) started working as a Research Assistant at UC Berkeley in 2010, where they analyzed the power load of a campus building and presented the results to the energy review committee. In 2012, they joined The University of Chicago as a Research Assistant, Consultant, and Instructor. In their role as a Consultant, they supervised and led short-term projects in statistical design, modeling, data analysis, and applied probability. As an Instructor, they delivered lectures, created homework assignments and exam questions, and graded exams for a statistics course. In 2015, they worked as a Statistics Intern at AbbVie, where they contributed to the development of innovative methodologies for analyzing patient data from clinical trials on Crohn's Disease. Finally, in 2016, they joined Quora as a Data Scientist.
Zhengrong (Tom) Xing pursued their education in a diligent and systematic manner. In 2007, they enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where they focused on Economics & Statistics. Zhengrong (Tom) spent four years there, successfully earning their Bachelor of Arts degree in 2011.
Exhibiting a strong passion for academia, Xing continued their educational journey by enrolling in the University of Chicago. From 2011 to 2016, they dedicated their efforts to pursue a Ph.D in Statistics. During this time, Xing focused on expanding their knowledge and expertise in this field.
