Alvaro Calviño, EMBA, has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Alvaro started their career at Schlumberger, where they worked as a Field Engineer, designing and executing frac treatments. Alvaro then moved to Weatherford as a General Engineer, where they designed different types of stimulation treatments. At Weatherford, they also served as a Field Operations Manager, supervising two fracturing crews and increasing equipment utilization efficiency.

Calviño later joined Halliburton, where they held several roles, including Sales Lead for Colombia/Peru and Senior Account Representative for Argentina. In these roles, they generated leads, managed customer relationships, and prepared proposals for tender processes. Alvaro achieved significant revenue growth and market share leadership through successful negotiations and strategic pricing. Additionally, they served as an Account Representative for Production Enhancement in Venezuela, where they won contracts through successful negotiations.

After working at Halliburton, Calviño joined Emerson Automation Solutions as a Technical Account Manager, focusing on exploration and production software. Alvaro grew national sales and business development operations for the E&P software portfolio and played a key role in lead generation, CRM, and product showcasing to potential clients.

Calviño then joined Aspen Technology as a Technical Account Manager in the Subsurface Science & Engineering division. Alvaro developed strategies to drive sales and business development for the E&P software portfolio, building solid relationships with users and maximizing business opportunities. Alvaro also oversaw lead generation, CRM, and engaged with local, regional, and global management teams.

Currently, Calviño is working at Quorum Software as a LATAM Sales Account Manager.

Alvaro Calviño, EMBA, pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree from Hult International Business School from 2020 to 2022, with the program taking place in Bogota, Boston, and Dubai. Alvaro'sfocus of study was in Business Administration. Prior to that, in 2018, they completed a Sales Certification Program at Aden Business School, specializing in professional sales. In terms of their undergraduate and graduate education, Alvaro Calviño attended Universidad Nacional de Tucumán from 2000 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electronics Engineering. Before pursuing higher education, they completed a Technician degree in Electronics from Instituto Técnico Salesiano Lorenzo Massa from 1994 to 1999. Additionally, they received various certifications related to their industry, including training at Halliburton ATAC Training Center, where they completed programs such as ATAC Wellcat for PE Apps in 2014, ATAC - Unconventional Reservoirs / Advanced DFIT in 2013, ATAC SIGMA PHASE 3 - Unconventional in 2013, ATAC SIGMA PHASE 1 - FRAC in 2013, and ATAC SIGMA TOOLS in 2013. Moreover, they attended Schlumberger Kellyville Training Center, where they completed the WPS Stim Leader Course - Fracturing/Stimulation Field Engineer II in 2008 and the WPS OTS Course - Fracturing/Stimulation Field Engineer I in 2007. To further enhance their expertise, Alvaro Calviño plans to enroll in the Enertracks - Energy Transformation Expert program at Renewables Academy (RENAC) from 2023 to 2024, focusing on Energy Management and Systems Technology/Technician. In terms of additional certifications, they have acquired Business Development: Strategic Planning from LinkedIn in August 2022, Sales Certification Program Latinamerica from Halliburton in April 2019, and Business Acquisition Process (BAP) - Advanced from Halliburton in September 2018.
