Christian Amott

Christian Amott has had extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Christian started their career at Sierra Systems as a Developer Consultant, where they worked on projects for the Government of British Columbia and the King County Court System. Christian then joined ecmarket inc. as a Software Development Manager, where they developed the core real-time auction engine and managed a team of software developers. After that, they became the President and CEO of nQuery Solutions, where they served for nearly a decade. Currently, they are the CTO of QuoteMedia, where they have led the technical development and growth of the company into a key player in the financial market data industry. At QuoteMedia, they built a highly-scalable real-time market data processing engine and proprietary in-memory database.

Christian Amott attended Thornlea Secondary School from 1983 to 1988, where they completed their high school education. Afterward, they pursued an Honors Bachelor's Degree in Human Biology, Molecular Genetics, and Computer Science at the University of Toronto - University of Trinity College, starting in 1988 and graduating in 1996. Christian later went on to acquire a Postgraduate Diploma in Application & Management of I.T. from the University of Victoria between 1998 and 1999.
