Alejandro Santacoloma has a diverse work experience, beginning with an Engineering Intern at Florida Power & Light Company in 2016. During their time there, they earned a Six Sigma White Belt and Yellow Belt, learned about process optimization and waste reduction, and created a videogame highlighting the internship experience. Alejandro then worked as a Student Researcher at the University of Florida in 2016, where they repurposed and reprogrammed iRobot Roombas to be able to play laser tag. In 2019, they became an Associate Software Engineer at Greenway Health, where they worked with the C# .NET framework and Progress ABL. Alejandro then moved on to American Society For Metabolic And Bariatric Surgery as a Web Developer, where they worked as a full stack developer with PHP and React. Most recently, Alejandro worked as an Information Technology Analyst I at the University of Florida, where they maintained the myIRB and goIACUC research management sites, and added new validation logic to existing pages. Alejandro is currently a Software Engineer at Qure4u.
Alejandro Santacoloma graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2019. Alejandro also earned a Minor in Computer Science from the same university.
