Delaney Donnelly

Research Associate at Qureator

Delaney Donnelly has been working in various roles since 2019. In 2019, they were a Shift Manager at the Green Harbor General Store, where they managed training of new employees, coordinated deliveries, managed cash and inventory, and advised ownership on product pricing and merchandising ideas. In 2020, they were an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Cartilage Tissue Engineering (CTE) Lab, where they performed literature review on articular cartilage material properties and loading experiments, harvested articular cartilage explants from bovine calf knees using dermal punches to create circular explants, and used a mechanical spectrometer to study how loading patterns and boundary conditions affect the viability of articular cartilage explants. Delaney also served as a Head Teaching Assistant, where they guided classes of 60-70 students through lab protocols, data collection, and results analysis, and worked directly with professors to create and set curriculum. Additionally, they were a Teaching Assistant at COSMOS (UCSD) in 2021, and a Senior Design Project Leader at UC San Diego in 2021, where they designed a planar biaxial device using SolidWorks such that it can be 3D printed. Delaney is currently a Research Associate at Qureator, a position they have held since 2022.

Delaney Donnelly received their Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego in 2022. Prior to that, they attended Hingham High School from 2014 to 2018.
