Kyu Baek

Kyu Baek has over 20 years of work experience in the biomedical and technology fields. In 2020, they became the Chief Executive Officer of Qureator (Curiochips) Inc., a biomedical company focused on the development of novel platforms and high-throughput disease models for precision medicine. From 2011 to 2020, they held the positions of Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist II at Vertex Pharmaceuticals. In 2009, they were the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Cubiq Inc. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Senior Research Scientist at Hospira/Abbott Lab. From 2000 to 2008, they were a System Engineer at SecuGen.

Kyu Baek obtained a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology between 1997 and 2000. Kyu then went on to obtain two Masters degrees from the University of Michigan, one in Electrical Engineering between 2000 and 2002, and one in Biomedical Engineering between 2004 and 2006. Finally, they completed their PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2007.
