Darren Gallagher

Darren Gallagher has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Darren is currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Qureight, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, Darren worked as Chief Technology Officer at Satavia from November 2017 to January 2021. At Satavia, they played a crucial role in designing and building the Saas/DaaS platform, DecisionX, and also contributed to company strategy and operations.

Before joining Satavia, Darren worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from May 2012 to April 2017, where they held the position of Director of Engineering, Big Data. In this role, they recruited and mentored developers and was instrumental in implementing Agile methodologies. Darren was also responsible for the analysis, design, implementation, and testing of large-scale big data platforms.

Prior to their tenure at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Darren worked at HP Autonomy from August 2005 to May 2012. Darren held various roles during their time at HP Autonomy, including Head of Engineering and Senior Software Engineer. Notably, they led a team of developers and oversaw global expansion and growth in new markets. Darren also played a key role in re-implementing the core engine that powered the Autonomy platform, delivering a robust and adaptable platform still in use today.

Darren's career began at Autonomy in October 1999, where they worked as a Software Engineer. During this time, they gained exposure to various technical challenges and developed expertise in writing connectors and integrating desktop search applications.

Darren Gallagher completed their education history with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry and Physics (Joint Hons) from the University of Nottingham. Darren attended this institution from 1992 to 1995. Prior to this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Laser Ignition of Gas Turbine Engines from Cranfield University, where they studied from 1995 to 1999.
