Dr. Henry McKinnell retired as Chairman and CEO of Pfizer Inc in 2006, after joining the company in 1970. Over the years, he held positions of increasing responsibility worldwide, in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, including service as President of Pfizer Asia, based in Hong Kong.Dr. McKinnell is Chairman of the Board of Directors of Moody’s Corporation and Optimer Pharmaceuticals. At Accordia Global Health Foundation, McKinnell is a member of the Academic Alliance and chairman of the Board of Directors. He is also Chairman Emeritus of the Connecticut Science Center and the Business Roundtable, an association of 170 CEO’s of America’s largest companies; and a member of the Pharmaceutical Research Manufacturers Association; the Food and Drug Law Institute; and the Medical Device Manufacturers Association. McKinnell also served as Vice Chairman of the World Economic Forum and as a WEF Foundation Board of Trustees member.Dr. McKinnell holds a Bachelor's Degree in business from the University of British Columbia and MBA and PhD from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
