Carlotta Ciancico has worked in various roles since 2015. From 2015 to 2016, they were a Research Fellow at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", where they were responsible for optical measurements and actively participated in the experimental process. From 2016 to 2022, they were a PhD Student at ICFO, where their research was situated at the interface between quantum photonics, material science and optoelectronics. Carlotta was responsible for the fabrication and characterization of hybrid photonic devices integrating 2D materials with quantum light sources. Currently, they are a Quantum System Engineer at Quside.
Carlotta Ciancico attended Sapienza Università di Roma from 2008-2011, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics. From 2011-2015, they obtained a Master's degree from the same university. Additionally, they attended Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2012-2013 as part of an Erasmus program, studying Materials Science.
