Waldimar Amaya has worked in a variety of roles since 1998. Theirmost recent position was as Chief Operations Officer at Quside, a role they have held since 2018. Prior to this, Amaya worked as a Research Engineer at The Institute of Photonic Sciences ICFO from 2012 to 2018. Waldimar also held a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia from 2008 to 2012. From 2002 to 2008, Amaya was an Assistant Lecturer at Universidad Santo Tomás de Aquino, teaching subjects such as microwave and radio telecommunications. From 2001 to 2002, they were an Assistant Lecturer at Universidad Distrital FJC, teaching subjects such as transmission lines, microwave and telecommunications. Amaya began their career in 1998 as Technical Manager at cablecentro S.A., where they were responsible for CATV networks management, design and implementation of earth satellite stations, and design and implementation of optical and RF cable networks.
