Michał Lorenc

Michał Lorenc is an experienced bioinformatics professional with a diverse background in genomics and data analysis. From July 2015 to November 2019, Michał worked at Queensland University of Technology as a Bioinformatics Specialist, collaborating with international teams on genomic projects and publishing research. As a Genomics Data Scientist, data analysis initiatives were led, and bioinformatics tools were developed. Prior experience includes a role as a Bioinformatics Software Developer and PhD candidate at ACPFG and the University of Queensland, where pipelines and databases for SNP analysis were developed. Michał has also contributed as a Helper at Software Carpentry, supported Bayer CropScience during a short-term visit, and interned at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Queensland University of Technology and additional training at the University of Hamburg.
