Alejandro Barboza

Alejandro Barboza has a range of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Alejandro joined QuVa Pharma, Inc. in 2019 and has held positions as the Clinical Pharmacy Research Director and the Director of Corporate Procurement. Prior to that, they worked at UnitedHealth Group from 2011 to 2019, serving as the Vice President of Enterprise Solutions. Alejandro'sresponsibilities included managing a team, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Barboza also worked at Advanced Pharma as the Director of Pharmacy from 2011 to 2016, where they focused on implementing policies, developing staff members, and ensuring safety and efficiency. Alejandro'searlier experience includes working as a Pharmacy Manager at Randalls Food Market, where they achieved significant sales growth, implemented healthcare initiatives, and optimized inventory control.

Alejandro Barboza completed their Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University from 1998 to 2002. Alejandro then pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree at the University of Houston, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. In 2013, Alejandro furthered their education by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Texas Woman's University, completing it in 2015.

In terms of additional certifications, Alejandro obtained various certifications from LinkedIn, including Developing Your Emotional Intelligence, Executive Decision-Making, Executive Leadership, Mentoring Others, Strategic Thinking, Careers in Supply Chain and Operations, Inventory Management Foundations, Lean Foundations, Implementing Supply Chain Management, and Supply Chain Foundations. These certifications were obtained between March 2020 to August 2020.

Furthermore, Alejandro obtained several certifications related to pharmacy practice. Alejandro became a Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in November 2020.

Additionally, Alejandro acquired a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Purdue University in 2019. In 2018, they also completed courses in Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma Lean Principles at the same university.
