Barend van der Merwe

Barend van der Merwe has been working as a Software Developer since 2013. Barend started at Rand Merchant Bank where they worked as a Software Developer and later as a Software Developer (contractor). In 2018, they joined Qvalia as a Software Developer. While at Rand Merchant Bank, they worked as a Mobile Developer for Business Technology within the iOS space for BT COE and with various C# and .Net applications within the Web and Windows Forms space.

Barend van der Merwe began their educational journey in 2008, when they enrolled in Monash University to pursue a Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences with a focus on Application Development and Networks. Barend graduated in 2011 with their Bachelor's degree. Following this, they returned to Monash University in 2012 to pursue an Honours degree of Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences with a focus on Universal Device Driver Markup Language. Barend graduated in 2013 with their Honours degree.
