Petri Oinonen has a comprehensive work experience spanning over 20 years in the technology industry. Starting their career as a Trainee at Nokia in 1998, they gained experience in image processing algorithms for mobile devices. Petri then progressed to various roles within Nokia, including Design Engineer and Senior Design Engineer, where they were responsible for implementing and maintaining components of the Symbian onboard camera API (ECam) for different products and platforms. In 2011, Petri joined Nokia's Windows Phone activities, serving as a Senior Design Engineer and contributing to the establishment of quality activities for Nokia's imaging SW stack. Petri also implemented the Nokia's Windows Phone camera middleware test set. In 2014, Petri joined Microsoft as a Specialist / Engineer II, where they focused on implementing a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) test application for testing camera functionality. In 2017, they moved to Qvantel as a Test Engineer before joining Novatron Oy in 2019 as a Test Engineer. Throughout their career, Petri has developed expertise in test automation and manual testing, camera testing, and API implementation.

Petri Oinonen obtained their M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Tampere University of Technology, with a major in signal processing and minors in communications engineering and electronics. Petri attended the university from 1965 to 2018. In addition to their academic qualifications, Petri has also achieved several certifications. Petri obtained a Nokia Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from MoreSteam University in December 2013. In September 2013, they obtained a Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CTFL) certification from ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board. Furthermore, in September 2012, they obtained a certification in Digital Camera Systems from CEI-Europe AB.
